BIOGRAPHY

Mercé de Rande is an interdisciplinary artist whose work inhabits the intersection where performing and visual arts converge. Driven by a centripetal force emanating from movement, she specializes in hybrid creation, research, and improvisation.

Her international trajectory includes Tanzhaus Zürich (Official Choreographer in Residence, 2014) and the TNS in Strasbourg, where she collaborated with pioneering platforms in the hybridization of new technologies and movement arts. Her work rescues Atlantic roots through the lens of visual anthropology.

Her foundation in the National Choreographic Centers of Toulouse, Montpellier and Forum Dança (Lisbon), specialized with a Master of Performing Arts (Switzerland), studies at Movement Research (New York), and Butoh seminars with Sankai Juku (Japan).

She understands creation as a process of latency and revelation, challenging the obsolescence of today's art market. In 2026, she reactivates Lost & Dead in Thunderland, consolidating herself as an "artist of persistence": activating living archives that function as compasses in the contemporary labyrinth.
